Uluwatu

Lunch

A raw tuna poke and Lewis had a kimchi pork burger.

We ordered another taxi to Uluwatu Temple which reception told us was metered yet when we were in the car he told us it would cost 100,000 IDR (approx $10 NZD) and didn't have his meter on. We knew he was ripping us off so we convinced him to turn his meter on, it only came out to 60,000 IDR (Approx $6 NZD) in the end. I know we sound like cheap arses when it's such little money but it's only a 10km drive.

Single Fin

The Single Fin was three stories of bars overlooking Uluwatu Beach with surfers catching massive waves. However, there was  a very strong Auzzie accent everywhere you turned. We luckily grabbed a table and ordered some drinks and a starter. Neither of us felt like dinner, there was just something a i little off with our digestive track. The bar got busier and busier and the sunset wasn't perfect, there were too many clouds and you never saw it. We made our way back to the Le Grande in yet another taxi who drove like a mad man mostly on the wrong side of the road as he was passing other cars and scoters. Once we looked in the mirror we realised that we were both complete lobsters and really doubted the effectiveness of our sunblocking and the sunblock itself 🤔

Our first day our exploring Bali! We ordered a taxi for 9.15am to take us to Sunday's Beach Club which is a resort where you pay an entry fee but some of that goes into a tab for food/drinks and you also get free use of paddle boards, kayaks, beach volleyball, and sun loungers. We of course sampled all of the above. Around 1pm whilst paddle boarding we noticed areas of redness appearing on each other and decided to call it quits for today.
